PRSA-NY mentors are experienced professionals representing many industries and a wide range of expertise. Here are some of them:


Barri Rafferty

Barri Rafferty is Senior Partner and CEO, North America at Ketchum New York. She is also a member of Ketchum's Executive Committee and oversees the global digital transformation of the agency which includes oversight of Ketchum Digital and the agency's global network of digital strategists. Barri counsels key clients on integrated communications, branding initiatives, and corporate reputation, and leveraging experiential, online, and mainstream communications tactics. During her tenure, Barri has counseled and worked with many industry-leading companies, such as Pfizer, Ikea, Kodak, Monster, The Home Depot, DuPont, Cingular Wireless, Philips, Levi Strauss & Company, Johnson & Johnson, and Frito-Lay. She has led award-winning projects that include Kodak's "Inkjet" launch, Maxwell House's "Build A Home America" program, Levi's "Semester Online," Tostitos' "Chip Drop," Staples' "10th Anniversary," Wisk's "Dirty Secrets and Clean Facts," and Hallmark's "When You Care Enough To Send The Very Best." She was president of the Public Relations Society of America, N.Y. Chapter, and is a member of Women in Communication. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are from Tulane and Boston University, respectively.


Art Stevens, APR, Fellow PRSA

Art Stevens is a Managing Partner at StevensGouldPincus. Art is the only member of the New York Chapter to have been honored with both the Phil Dorf Award for outstanding service to the Chapter and the John Hill Award for lifetime achievement.  For more than twenty-five years he was chairman and CEO of LobsenzStevens which was acquired by Publicis Groupe in 1999.  Art is a past president of PRSA-NY and national Secretary and board member of PRSA national.  He currently serves as a Director/Delegate on the Chapter Board and is a member of the PRSA national bylaws revision task force.  Last year he was also honored by PRSA with the Patrick Jackson Award for outstanding service to PRSA and the profession.


Deborah Radman, APR, Fellow PRSA

Deborah Radman is Principal of Radman Communications LLC.  She was Managing Director of the New York office of Washington D.C.-based Stanton Communications, which she opened for the company in 2004.  Before that, Deborah served as Managing Partner of Corporate and Marketing Communications at KCSA Public Relations Worldwide.  She came to New York in 1996 after having owned and managed her public relations firm, Brown Radman Wolper, successfully for 10 years.  Deborah has counseled clients primarily in the fields of corporate communications and employee engagement, crisis management, public affairs and both business-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing.  She is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and a member of the PRSA College of Fellows.  And, she is the recipient of three Silver Anvil awards from the PRSA.


Irene Maslowski, APR

Irene Z. Maslowski is the President of Maslowski & Associates, a public relations consultancy in Roseland, NJ, founded in 1988, that serves clients in the corporate, non-profit, and business-to-business arena. Prior to founding her firm, Irene was the Assistant Director of Public Relations for Jewelers of America in New York City.  She is the former President of the New Jersey Chapter of PRSA and has served as the director of the organization's Tri-State region, is a member of PRSA's Counselors Academy and has served on the board of Women in Communications, New Jersey Chapter. Irene has been the recipient of three Pyramid Awards from PRSA-New Jersey.  She currently is a past president of PRSA-NY.
