| "The New York Chapter of PRSA is where the rubber meets the road...I’ve enjoyed running more than 50 programs for the chapter, the Big Apple Awards, serving on the board and being a past president. " – Henry Feintuch
- Why did you feel it was important to join the board?
The New York Chapter of PRSA is where the rubber meets the road. We develop content, programs and activities that actually touch working pros in the New York metropolitan area. It’s important to participate in activities that offer professional development, while at the same time, raising the quality of our profession.
- How long have you been a Board Member?
I’ve been on the board for around seven years. PRSA-NY is an amazing place to forge professional relationships, expand your network and team up with folks you might not ordinarily meet within your own work environment.
- What does being a board member mean to you both professionally and personally?
PRSA-NY has provided me with a platform to contribute to the industry in a very tangible way.
- In your view, how does PRSA differ from other industry associations?
Every association has strengths and weaknesses; PRSA is an association of working individual PR practitioners. It offers tremendous knowledge sharing, networking and volunteer leadership opportunities.
- Are there any anecdotes or interesting challenges you have overcome with the board?
Too many to name! I’ve enjoyed running more than 50 programs for the chapter, the Big Apple Awards, serving on the board and being a past president. My year as president stands out most vividly as the most intense and rewarding year of my service to PRSA-NY.
