INTEGRATED COMMS PRO LESLIE GOTTLIEB NAMED PRESIDENT-ELECT
OF PUBLIC RELATIONS SOCIETY OF AMERICA, NEW YORK CHAPTER
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, August 23, 2018 – The Public Relations Society of America, New York Chapter today announced that industry expert and strategic integrated marketing/communications specialist Leslie Gottlieb has been named President-Elect and will serve as President of PRSA-NY in 2019. Ms. Gottlieb served PRSA-NY for 15 years as a board member and continues her involvement on the Membership and Mentoring Committees, as well as the chapter’s new Senior Pros Committee. Ms. Gottlieb steps into the role following the departure of Doug Simon in July, and she will take the helm of PRSA-NY following the term of current president, Sharon D. Fenster, beginning January 1, 2019.
“PRSA-NY is the leading organization dedicated to advancing excellence in the public relations profession – in the heart of the world’s leading media capital,” says Ms. Fenster. “Leslie Gottlieb brings a wealth of professional insight, association management, mentoring and dynamism to everything she does, and PRSA-NY is delighted to have her in this leadership position as we enter 32 years of service to our members and colleagues across the metropolitan New York area.”
“I have a deep commitment to our profession and to PRSA-NY,” says Ms. Gottlieb. “Professionally, I am an expert in integrated strategic communications and marketing for leading nonprofit organizations, such as the Red Cross. My expertise includes digital and social media strategy, e-marketing, fundraising, top tier and niche media, branding and crisis communications. As President-Elect I will bring these skills to the chapter.”
In the coming months Ms. Gottlieb will be studying PRSANY’s priorities and initiatives such as diversity and inclusion. In addition, building on the momentum of this year’s very successful Big Apple Awards, she will also focus on such fundamentals as fiscal priorities, memberships and creating new partnerships and alliances.
