PUBLIC RELATIONS STUDENTS

Where Students Connect with Professionals If you're a public relations student PRSA-NY can help you jump start your career. You can be a PRSSA member or a student in a college without a PRSSA program. In either case, you get reduced rates on our programs BUT if you volunteer to help at one or more activities or events your registration will be free. We also offer student internships and job opportunities. If you have questions about PRSSA, contact the national organization at www.prssa.org. The site also includes the names and addresses of all the student society's chapters.

New York University Chapter is not active.

The Fashion Institute of Technology has one of the most active PRSSA chapters in the country. Its members have been district directors and vice presidents of the PRSA, paticipants in PRSA competitions, and recipients of PRSA scholarships. Annually, FIT students host a "Connections Dinner" at which students and PR professionals discuss jobs, careers and current trends and issues. In 2004 the chapter hosted the PRSSA National Conference which was held in New York City. More than 1,400 students attended from the U.S. and around the world.
