Video, video, video. As communications experts, we've become accustomed to frequently hearing this client request. And the truth is that the need for compelling video content is only going to grow with time. When your client wants your help developing video for social media, these are some of the considerations that you should keep in mind.
In this workshop, award winning director, cinematographer and author, Barry Andersson, and Founder of Walk the Moon Media, Sara Leeper, will discuss:
What's your format and how does that dictate the video length and tone? (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat are the largest platforms)
- What is the key message? Less is more when it comes to social video, so how do you narrow down what you want to focus on?
- Understanding this is disposable content, how do you maximize your budget and maintain high quality?
- When creating a work-back schedule, how much time should you plan for video development, shooting, edits, etc?
- How can you find great production or freelance videographers who will work with you instead of against you to create (and edit) videos?
The workshop will provide attendees with insights for successful social media videos, including planning, shooting and editing (either with a hired crew or as a one-man-band PR rep). In addition, we intend to present a case study of the social media video we shot for Lakes & Legends Craft brewery (currently in the final editing stage).
